Innovative tech start-up Semanux becomes part of the alfa group of companies

Expansion of the accessible range from alfatraining, alfaview and EML with intelligent software solutions from Semanux.
The award-winning IT company Semanux has been operating under the umbrella of the alfa group of companies owned by Karlsruher technology entrepreneur Niko Fostiropoulos since 22.11.2024.

With Semanux, Niko Fostiropoulos has gained a company with extensive expertise in the fields of intelligent human-computer interaction and machine learning. Semanux's product range includes innovative technologies in the areas of eye tracking, gesture recognition and facial expression and face recognition.

Semanux GmbH was founded as part of a research project at the University of Stuttgart at the Chair of Analytic Computing of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and was funded by an EXIST research transfer from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection and Europäischen Sozialfonds. Semanux's technologies have already won prestigious awards, including the CyberOne Award, 3rd place in the Handelsblatt's Health-i-Award under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport Affairs and 3rd place in the Baden-Württemberg Foundation's AI Garage.

The acquisition of the tech company Semanux is intended to create new AI-based solutions for the entire group of companies. In future, the accessible control solutions will be seamlessly integrated into existing products from alfaview, alfatraining and EML Speech Technology.
