AI-supported media design with Adobe Creative Cloud: further training for modern creative professions

04.05.2026

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the media and creative industries. What used to require a lot of routine manual work can now be partially automated, accelerated or completely rethought. For designers, media designers, marketing specialists and creative career changers, this creates new challenges, but also very good opportunities.

With the renewed course KI gestützte Mediengestaltung mit Adobe Creative Cloud, alfatraining offers practical training for anyone who wants to combine professional design skills with the latest AI tools. The course teaches the confident use of central Adobe Creative Cloud programs and shows how AI supports creative processes in a meaningful way.

Design skills for print, digital and AI-supported workflows

The course focuses on the programs Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat Pro. In addition, participants will learn how Adobe Firefly and AI functions can be used within the Creative Cloud to implement image editing, layout, vector graphics, publishing and accessible documents more efficiently.

In Photoshop, the topics include image editing, cropping, layers, smart objects, color corrections, montages, camera raw, automation and AI-based image editing with Firefly. Participants will learn how to professionally optimize images and visually implement creative ideas more quickly.

In Illustrator, the focus is on vector graphics, corporate design, icon design, infographics, UI components and generative functions. These include text-to-vector, generative recoloring, shapes, colors, symbols and the use of AI for font identification or automatic corrections.

Using InDesign, participants acquire knowledge of layout, typography, sample pages, layout grids, paragraph and character formats, tables, data merging, web export, ePUB and accessible design. AI-supported functions such as Smart Layout, Auto Style and style transfer are also covered.

The Acrobat Pro section supplements the training with PDF creation, publishing, preflight, commenting functions, digital signatures, automation and accessible PDF documents. Accessibility is becoming increasingly important, especially in the professional media environment, which is why tags, alternative texts and structure checks are also taught in a practical way.

The aim of the course is to be able to plan, design and implement creative projects independently. Participants learn how to professionally create images, graphics, layouts and printable or digital media products. At the same time, the course teaches skills in the use of AI-supported tools to optimize design processes, automate workflows and develop new creative ideas more quickly.

Who is the course suitable for?

The course is aimed at media designers, graphic designers, web designers, specialists from artistic professions, public relations, marketing, communication, architecture and photography. Creative career changers will also benefit from the course if they want to familiarize themselves with digital and printed media design in a structured and practical way.

Especially for people who already work in design or are planning to enter the creative industry, up-to-date AI knowledge is a clear advantage. Companies are increasingly looking for specialists who are not only proficient in classic design programs, but also understand how AI can be used effectively in professional workflows.

There are opportunities in the print and digital sectors, in agencies, marketing departments, companies, publishing houses, communications departments or in self-employment. Those who combine Adobe expertise, design know-how and AI skills will position themselves for a job market in which modern media design is increasingly supported by technology.

The course can be funded via Bildungsgutschein from Agentur für Arbeit. If the requirements are met, the course costs are usually covered in full.
