Office Manager with the basics of business administration and accounting

The course teaches office management skills relevant to the professional workflow of an office, modern communication and conversation techniques as well as the routine use of common digital communication tools and professional complaint management. You will also refresh your English language skills and deepen and expand them with basic business terms. In addition, you will familiarize yourself with the business mindset and acquire basic knowledge of accounting, especially in the areas of corporate objectives, accounting, cost accounting and commercial law.

Knowledge of Office applications and previous knowledge of English (secondary school level) are required.

After the course, you will be familiar with office administration, have sound cross-sector knowledge of the professional workflow of an office and be proficient in modern communication techniques. You know the basics of communication in the digital age with traditional and modern means of communication such as email and video conferencing and can deal with complaints. You have practical English language skills to be successful in the international workplace.

After completing the course, you will have a basic understanding of business contexts and commercial thinking. You will be familiar with the central areas of accounting, be able to classify operational key figures and understand and process simple business management issues in everyday working life. You will also learn about the sensible and responsible use of artificial intelligence in commercial and administrative work processes.

The course is aimed at anyone who wants to acquire knowledge of administrative or organizational office procedures and improve their English language skills.

Your new skills will open up numerous new opportunities in the job market: typical commercial, administrative and organizational activities in secretariats and administrative offices are in demand in companies in almost all sectors of the economy.

You will also gain business knowledge that you can demonstrate on the job market.

Didactic concept

Your lecturers are highly qualified both professionally and didactically and will teach you from the first to the last day (no self-study system).

You will learn in effective small groups. The courses usually consist of 6 to 25 participants. The general lessons are supplemented by numerous practical exercises in all course modules. The practice phase is an important part of the course, as it is during this time that you process what you have just learned and gain confidence and routine in its application. The final section of the course involves a project, a case study or a final exam.

The entire course can see each other face-to-face via alfaview®, communicate with each other in lip-sync voice quality and work on joint projects. Of course, you can also see and talk to your connected trainers live at any time and you will be taught by your lecturers in real time for the entire duration of the course. The lessons are not e-learning, but real live face-to-face lessons via video technology.

 

The courses at alfatraining are funded by Agentur für Arbeit and are certified in accordance with the AZAV approval regulation. When submitting a Bildungsgutscheinor Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein, the entire course costs are usually covered by your funding body.
